Stacking lustreware sugar pot and creamer set, circa 1942-44.
Stamped 'A English Ware Lancasters LTP. Hanley England'
The 'A' above the stamp indicates this set was made under the Wartime Concentration Scheme, which severely restricted the production of decorated pottery in Britain during the Second World War in order to save materials, energy and labour.
Creamy white body with silver lustre trim and details.
Very minor wear to silver trim, otherwise in excellent condition for age. No chips, cracks or crazing. Appear little used, if at all.
Measurements:
Sugar Pot - 2.25" H x 3.5" DIA / 6cm H x 9cm DIA
Creamer - 2.25" H x 3" DIA / 6cm H x 8cm DIA
