A large antique English Staffordshire James Dudson jasperware cheese dome, circa 1870-1880.
Brown salt glazed stoneware with bluebell, fern leaf and fruiting vine decoration in white relief.
Rope knot finial.
Impressed mark to base.
Condition: In very good condition for age. There is light staining to the relief decoration as well as some to the bottom plate, a tiny crack at the top of the lid and a chip to the glazing on the edge of the plate. There is also a small bump in the pottery on the side of the lid which would have occurred during production. Please refer to last few images for details.
