A large antique pottery mug, likely dating to around 1850.

Features a hand-painted floral/fruit design over a black transfer print. The bold red and green accents add depth to the intricate botanical pattern, giving it a distinctive folk art quality. The strap handle with a central ridge adds to its charm, a style commonly seen in 19th-century pottery.

There are no maker’s marks, but it is likely of English origin, possibly Staffordshire.

A beautiful and characterful piece for collectors of early pottery or lovers of rustic antique decor.

Visible crazing and staining consistent with age. Possible handle repair (reattachment), very well executed. Small hairline near the rim on the side opposite the handle. Overall, in good condition for its age.

Measurements:
3-7/8 h x 3-7/8 d x 5 w in // 9.8 h x 9.8 d x 12.7 w cm
