Antique early Canadian pottery two-gallon crock, circa 1888-1897.
Made by Glass Bros & Co. in London, Ontario.
Salt glazed stoneware with blue circles forming the letter "G" around the number "2" on the exterior and brown Albany slip interior.
Wear commensurate with age. A bit misshapen, not perfectly circular. There is a chip in the rim approx. 3/4". There is a crack which extends from the rim to about the centre of the crock which appears on both the interior and exterior and a hairline crack above one handle which only appears on the exterior.
