Antique dome-shaped match holder and striker in a brownish-pink glaze, circa 1880-1930.
Unmarked, however unmistakably a piece of Salopian Art Pottery made by Benthall Pottery, in Shropshire, England.
Features a central hole to hold matches and a roughened surface to strike them on.
In very good condition for age with some minor wear, marks and scuffs. No chips or cracks.
Note: will require strike anywhere matches for use. Matches pictured not included.
