Matted and framed under glass.
Embossed stamp bottom left 'C. R. Willmott Toronto.'
Hand written note on reverse 'To: Our Dear Friend Nortlsy(?) from Chepa & Ron'.
The original photograph, a 'View of Dundas looking west' was taken by Richard Sarly Brooke (1828-1896), Dundas' first ever photographer. Born in Yorkshire, England, he settled in Dundas in 1855, capturing early images of the town shortly after its' incorporation in 1847. His photographs, spanning over three decades, can be found in historical periodicals, public libraries, and the Dundas Museum and Archives.
Wear commensurate with age. Some warping of print and some discolouration to paper and matte. Frame is in good condition with some minor scuffs. Please refer to images.
