Antique Primitive Carved Wood Butter Mold

Antique primitive large round wood butter mold / press with hand-carved stylized fern stamp, circa late 19th century.

Sourced in Ontario. Likely originates from Ontario or Quebec. 

The base of the plunger can be unscrewed from the handle for cleaning / to separate the plunger from the dome cover (see last image).

In very good condition for age with some minor scuffs, marks, and small cracks. Please refer to images.

3-3/4 w x 6 h (fully extended) in // 9.5 w x 15.2 h (fully extended) cm
