Antique Rockingham pottery mixing bowl, circa mid-19th to early 20th century.
Footed bowl with subtle embossed fluting on the exterior and a flared rim.
Mottled Rockingham brown glaze.
Unmarked.
Likely North American origin. Sourced in Ontario.
I currently have two of these bowls available - please see my other listings! This one is the smaller of the two which nests nicely inside the larger one. They would make a great pair.
Wear consistent with age. Crazing throughout. Minor chip in rim (see second last image) and a minor chip at the base of the interior (see last image). Some loss /wear to glaze at the base of the interior - has a matte appearance whereas the rest of the bowl retains the original glossy finish.
