Antique Villeroy & Boch extra large wash bowl / basin and pitcher set, circa 1874-1909.
In the 'Harras' pattern, a red stylized floral transferware, on the 'Drina' shape.
Made in Mettlach, Germany.
Stamped 'Drina' and 'Villeroy & Boch Harras Mettlach.'
Condition: Wear commensurate with age. The pitcher has a glaze skip at the top of the handle, a repaired chip on the base (see last image), and a hairline crack extending about an inch from the rim, near the handle (see second last image). The basin has two repaired chips in the rim and a small hairline in-between them (see third last image), as well as a larger hairline which can be seen on the interior, and felt on both sides of the bowl (see fourth last image). Both pieces have crazing throughout. Overall, in good condition for age! A beautiful and rare set!
