The lithograph was sourced from the Biodiversity Heritage Library. It features fruits that were cultivated in New York state around the time of publication in 1851. The lithograph comes from the book 'Natural History of New York' in the section 'Agriculture of New York' by American geologist Ebenezer Emmons (1799-1863).
