In 1909, Pierre Bonnard discovered the radiant light of the Côte d'Azur. Enchanted by the colors of the region, he returned annually and, in 1926, bought a house called Le Bosquet in Le Cannet, which became his favorite workspace and permanent home from 1939. He produced over 200 paintings there, among them some of his best-loved masterpieces.
Michel Terrasse, Bonnard's grand-nephew, is now the owner of this fascinating house, which he has lovingly preserved. With his vivid descriptions, along with drawings, paintings, photographs, and pages from Bonnard's diaries, he captures the essence of Le Cannet as Bonnard knew it.
