An elegant, modern and minimalist Italian sterling silver and wood trinket box, circa second half of 20th century.
Crafted by Argenteria Il Leone of Florence, whose works have been featured at esteemed auction houses such as Sotheby's, Cambi, and Roseberys London.
Features a warm reddish-brown wood base (likely mahogany) and fitted wood lid clad in sterling silver.
Marked on lid 'lion's head, ARG. / IL LEONE / -FI-, *worn mark*, 925, STERLING.'
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light surface wear. Minor oxidization and fine scratches to the silver lid, consistent with age. A small dent is present on the lid, subtle and barely visible from most angles (see final image).
