An outstanding pair of solid glass half-moon bookends designed by Wayne Husted (1927-2022) for Blenko, circa 1960.
Husted was Blenko's artistic director from 1952-1963. He remains their most prolific designer and one of the most celebrated American glass designers of the mid-20th century.
Thick and heavy glass (each weighing about 4 lbs.) in a pale aqua.
Made in Milton, West Virginia, USA.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear consistent with age. Small chip (approx 1/4") near corner on inside of one bookend (see last image).
