Vintage Moorcroft pottery mugs, set of four.
These highly collectible hand painted mugs were made in 1986 for the first National Garden Festival in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
They feature the Moorcroft factory bottle oven, one of the few remaining bottle ovens in Stoke-on-Trent, with a creamy background, blue sky, clouds, and a green banded base.
Stamped on base in green 'Moorcroft Made in England'.
Wear commensurate with age. No repairs or cracks. Some imperfections in glazing. Very minor crazing on three of the mugs, while one has more significant crazing and as a result, some staining on the interior (see second last image). This same mug has a minor chip on the base (bottom right mug in last image).
Measurements:
3-1/2 h x 4-1/2 w x 3-1/4 d in / 9 h x 11 w x 8 d cm
