A cylindrical vintage green alabaster bud vase, circa mid-20th century.
Genuine alabaster, hand-carved in Italy.
Perfect size for a single stem or small posy.
Condition: Age consistent wear. There is a long scuff to one side of the vase near the base, and a scratch opposite. Some wear to the original finish, including areas of lifting, flaking, and yellowing. Such finishes were traditionally applied to enhance colour, create a wet stone effect, and reduce porosity. Over time, these lacquer or resin coatings commonly become brittle, particularly around rims where handling and moisture are most common. This wear does not affect the integrity of the stone.
