A rare large, ceramic, hand painted platter by Royal Doulton, circa 1950.
Made in England.
Vibrant yellow and orange nasturtium flowers with bright green leaves on a red, purple and blue mottled ground. Brown rim.
Most pieces from this series also have the pattern name 'Nasturtium' and pattern number (D6325) printed under the Royal Doulton stamp. This piece is unique in that it does not feature the pattern name and the pattern number is hand painted.
Some crazing, largely concentrated at the centre of the top of the dish (see last image) and the bottom (see second and third last images). Overall, in excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks.
