Vintage hand woven splint wood gathering basket from the Thunder Bay region in Ontario.
A unique woven three section basket with green accents, a bent wood handle and a lovely braided sweet grass detail embedded in the rim.
In great vintage condition with some minor wear. The dovetail joints that connect the handle to the piece of wood on the base have come free over time (see last image). Would not recommend picking up by the handle unless the base joints are glued back together. Small section missing around the rim (see second last image).
